GOVERNMENT OF INDIA

1) Ex-Servicemen and Widows of Ex-Servicemen are included in the 8% CC Category of reservation in allotment of dealerships of Petroleum products

    (Oil/Kerosene/Gas Agencies).

2) 75 % Rail Travel concession in Second Class / Second sleeper.

3) 75% concession in Air fare.

4) Educational fee concessions and  Priority in allotment of seats in IITs and MBBS / BDS

5) Telephone concessions- 50%  concessions in rentals, free registration and Installation.

RESERVATION FOR ESM

10% Posts in Gp ‘C’and 20% posts in Gp’D’ are exclusively reserved for ESM in Central Government Organisations. Central PSU and Nationalised Banks provide reservation of 14.5% in Group ‘C’ and 24.5% in Group ‘D’ Posts.

CENTRAL PARA MILITARY FORCES (CPMF)

ESM are recruited into Para Military Forces viz CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB etc. Advertisement of their recruitment drives for various posts are published in newspaper columns and in ‘Employment News’ in various States are issued  at regular intervals.

RE-EMPLOYMENT IN DSC

Eligibility: i) Medical Category AYE

             ii) Should apply within 5 years after discharge.

            iii) Min 5 years colour service

Age:       i) Hav/NK/Sep - below 45 years

Educational: i) Hav - Army AEC I or Matric

                ii) Nk/Sep - Army AEC- III

Character: Not below Very Good.

Procedure for enrolment

• JCOs have to apply to DDG DSC, Army HQ, West Block, RK Puram, New Delhi
• ORs are recruited on quarterly basis at respective Centres / BROs.

Emoluments

• Same pay and allowances as in Army
• DA CCA & other allowances as in the Army
• Continue to draw pension and retain service gratuity and DCRG.

Postings: First and last postings are given at the Home Town Other postings are given as close to home town as possible.

SELF EMPLOYMENT

Tipper attachement scheme for widows

 The widows of Defence Personnel who die while in service due to causes attributable to Military service can be sponsored by DGR for attaching one tipper in their name with an ESM Coal Transport Company. The functioning of these Companies is monitored by DGR.

Allotment of army surplus vehicles

Eligibility :

• ESM/ their widows, serving personnel due to retire within next six months with pension,
• ESM Co operative societies should not be less than twenty ESM as members.
• ESM can only apply within five years of Retirement.

 Security Deposit : DDs should be obtained in favour of “DGR Security Deposit Fund”

a) Motor Cycle                                   : Rs.1000/-

b) Jeep/Jonga/Truck 1 Ton Nsn/Mini Bus   : Rs.3000/-

c) Ly 3 Tonne/Shaktiman/LPT 6.5 Tonne   : Rs.8000/-

Release of Security Deposit :

• Amount of security deposit is released after the allotted vehicle has been register with the RTA. The application for release of security deposit is to be routed through the Zilla Sainik Board concerned.

Change of Vehicle :

• Request for change will result in cancellation of the initial registration and the application is then registered afresh.
